Our Story
From idea to impact — the Envotec journey
Envotec was born from a simple observation: millions of Tanzanians cook every day using methods that are expensive, smoky, and harmful to both health and the environment.
We set out to change that. Starting with improved firewood and charcoal stoves, we've grown into a full-spectrum clean energy company offering solutions across electric, gas, coal, and biomass cooking.
Today, we're proud to serve homes, schools, restaurants, and institutions across Tanzania — helping them cook better, spend less, and breathe easier.
And as the sectors we serve went digital, we grew with them: our Enterprise Infrastructure division now equips Tanzanian organizations with Cisco and HPE technology, and our subsidiary Nitumekazi builds the software platforms that run on it.
Our mission: To make clean cooking accessible and affordable for every Tanzanian — and to give Tanzanian organizations the infrastructure they need to thrive in a digital economy.
